Judgment : The Court: There is nothing to show that any complaint was lodged with the Board of Councillors for taking steps under s.218 of the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993. The document at p.15 shows that taking cognizance of the allegation the Chairman of the Municipality issued a stop work notice under s.220. In view of this situation, I dispose of the W P saying that if the petitioner submits complaint under s.218 to the Board of Councillors, then the Board shall take steps according to law. No costs.
