Judgment : R. Banumathi, J. 1. Petitioner seeks for direction to the Respondents 1 and 2 to take immediate action pursuant to the letter dated 26.5.2010 of the 1st Respondent and letter dated 09.6.2011 of the 2nd Respondent on the illegal and unauthorised construction made in the property bearing Door No.99, G.N.T. Road, Erukkenchery, Chennai-600 118. 2. When the Writ Petition came up for hearing, Petitioner was represented by learned counsel Mr.P.Subba Rao. Respondents 1 and 3 are represented by learned counsel Mr.S.Saravanan. 2nd Respondent is represented by learned counsel Mr.K.Rajasrinivas. 3. Learned counsel appearing for Chennai Corporation has submitted that the property where the alleged unauthorised construction is put up by the Respondents 4 and 5 belongs to Highways Department. Since the property is stated to be belonged to the Highways Department, the learned counsel for Writ Petitioner sought permission of the Court to withdraw the Writ Petition, giving liberty to the Petitioner to approach the concerned authorities. Learned counsel for the Petitioner also made an endorsement to that effect. 4. In view of the endorsement made, the Writ Petition is dismissed, giving liberty to the Petitioner to approach the concerned authorities. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
