JUDGMENT S. NAGAMUTHU, J. 1. The petitioner is the wife of one Alagarsamy. According to the petitioner, Mr. Alagarsamy left for Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple for attending Karthigai festival. Thereafter, he did not return. In this regard, she has made a complaint on 4.12.2012. Since no action has been taken by the police, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition. 2. Today, when the matter was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint of the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.1204 of 2012 for the offence under Section 363 IPC and the matter is under investigation. He would further state that the matter is being investigated in the right direction and all efforts are made to secure the detenu. The said statement is recorded. 3. In view of the above, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, however, with an observation that the respondent police shall continue to do investigation, expeditiously.
