Judgment :- 1. The prayer in this writ petition is seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.02.2010 and to fix the seniority of the panel with reference to the year of selection i.e., 2000-01 as 'Assistant Conservator of Forests'. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was directly recruited as 'Forest Ranger' in the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. Subsequently, he was promoted as 'Assistant Conservator of Forest's on 23.02.2006. Thereafter, he was transferred and posted as 'Deputy Director [Assistant Conservator of Forests]' at Kalakad Wild Life Sanctuary, Tirunelvelli District. It is stated by the petitioner that the respondents had not taken any action for preparation of panel for promotion as 'Assistant Conservator of Forests' for the year 2000-2001 by recruitment by transfer. If such action had been taken, the petitioner would have joined duty in the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests in the middle of the year 2001 itself and got his due seniority fixed in the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests. Therefore, expressing his grievance, the petitioner had made objections through his representation on 06.05.2006, 19.05.2008 and finally on 16.02.2010. As the same were not considered so far, the present writ petition is filed before this court. 3. The only grievance of the petitioner is that his representations sent to the respondents 1 to 3 have not been considered with regard to preparation of panel for promotion. Therefore, without going into the merits of the matter, and the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner on 16.02.2010 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
