Order 1. With the consent of both parties, these Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal. 2. These writ petitions are filed for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent relating to the orders (i) dated 05.08.2013, passed in Ka.No.Assistant Electrical Engineer/Nallur/ Tiruppur/Dvn.Indl./ Ka.No.60, (ii) dated 08.08.2013 passed in Ka.No.Assistant Electrical Engineer/Nallur/ Tiruppur/Dvn.Indl./ Ka.No.62 and (iii) dated 05.08.2013 passed in Ka.No.Assistant Electrical Engineer/Nallur/Tiruppur/Dvn.Indl./ Ka.No.61 and quash the same and consequently direct the first respondent to give Electricity Service connection to the houses in (i) S.F.No.189, Site No.7, RVE Nagar, Eighth Street, Nallur, Tirupur – 641 606, Tirupur District, (ii) S.F.No.165, Site No.1, Thiruvenkada Nagar, First Street, Nallur, Tirupur – 641 606, Tirupur District, and (iii) S.F.No.157/2, Site No.10, Adi Diravidar Colony, Nallur, Tirupur – 641 606, Tirupur District, on receipt of the applications for electricity service connection from the petitioner in each of the case. 3. The petitioner in each of the case is the tenant in the house owned by the second respondent-temple. They sought for electricity service connection with the first respondent. Since the second respondent has objected for granting of electricity service connection, the first respondent passed an order refusing to give electricity service connection. 4. Heard both sides. 5. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent has fairly submitted that grant of electricity service connection cannot confer any title on the petitioners and the same shall be made clear. He has also submitted that granting of electricity service connection could not prevent the temple authorities from taking eviction proceedings in accordance with law, if necessary. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner has no quarrel over the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the second respondent. 7. In these circumstances, a direction is issued to the first respondent to grant electricity service connection to the petitioners in each of the case based on the representations dated 03.08.2013, 07.08.2013 and 03.08.2013 in term of Clause 27(4) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner in each of the case shall pay the requisite fee and execute an indemnity bond required by the first respondent. It is made clear that the grant of electricity service connection cannot confer any title on the petitioners.
