JUDGMENT : 1. With the consent of both parties, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal, as the matter lies in narrow compass. 2. Heard both sides. 3. The petitioner completed graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in May 2012. She enrolled with the first respondent Board and was issued with the Registration Number TN12G1301304. She joined P.G. Course in Vel Tech Technical University while her application for enrolling as apprentice was pending before the first respondent. 4. After she joined the P.G.course, the first respondent issued interview card to the petitioner asking her to attend the interview on 31.7.2013 before the third respondent. 5. Accordingly, she appeared for the interview on 31.7.2013. The third respondent refused to consider her for apprenticeship on the sole ground that she is presently undergoing P.G.Course. Hence, she has filed this Writ Petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to forthwith enroll the petitioner as an apprentice under the third respondent by accepting her offer to discontinue her P.G.Course. 6. The learned counsel for the 3rd respondent Electricity Board has submitted that since the petitioner is undergoing P.G.Course, the Rules do not permit to enroll the petitioner as apprentice with the third respondent. 7. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has already sent a representation that she is willing to discontinue P.G.Course and she may be permitted to enroll as apprentice with the third respondent. It is also submitted that an averment to that effect has been made in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition. She has also made a prayer to that effect in the writ petition. 8. In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to enroll the petitioner as apprentice based on the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is willing to discontinue P.G.Course. The petitioner is also directed to file an affidavit to the aforesaid effect before the third respondent, besides furnishing B.E. Certificate. 9. The Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. The connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
