Judgment :- M. JAICHANDREN, J. 1. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the detenue, namely, Mariammal, daughter of the fourth respondent, aged about 18 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty. 2. Today, when the matter was listed for hearing, the third respondent police had produced the detenue, before this Court. The fourth respondent, the father of the detenue was also present before this Court. 3. On the request of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the matter was referred to the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, attached to the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. 4. The fourth respondent has stated that he is not accepting the fact that the detenue had married the petitioner as claimed by her. 5. A report from the said Mediation and Conciliation Centre, dated 10.1.2013, has been filed before this Court, wherein, it is stated that the detenue is willing to go with the petitioner. 6. In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that no orders are necessary in the present Habeas Corpus petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. It is open to the detenue to go along with the petitioner, as per her wish, as she is a major.
