JUDGMENT M. Jaichandren, J. 1. This Writ Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to commence the maintenance works relating to the Thiruvalluvar Statue, adjacent to the Vivekanandar Rock Memorial at Kanyakuamari. 2. Mr. K. Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General, had taken notice on behalf of the respondents. He has placed before this Court a Tender Notification, dated 08.01.2013, issued by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Chennai, calling for tenders, for providing Protective Coating to the Thiruvalluvar Statue, at Kanyakumari. 3. In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that no further orders are necessary in the present Writ Petition. Hence, the Writ Petition stands closed. The connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
