Judgment : M. Venugopal, J. 1. The Petitioner has preferred a Writ of Habeas Corpus Petition, praying for issuance of an order by this Court, in directing the Respondents to produce the body or person of the Detenue by name Saradha Mani, before this Court. 2. At the stage of the hearing, the Detenue Saradhamani, appeared before this Court, today. On enquiry, she informed this Court that her betrothal with the Petitioner's Son viz., Ramachandran tooklace on 14.07.2003 in her house at Mangalore, Karnataka and as on date, she is not liking the Petitioner's Son Ramachandran. 3. According to her, she is a B.E. (I.T.) Graduate and the petitioner's son's qualification is M.C.A. Since, she is not liking him on account of his behaviour etc., she informs this Court that she is willing to go along with her Father, viz., R.Subramani, the third Respondent herein. Since the Detenue, being a major, aged about 25 years, and on her volition is entitled to an independent decision, this Court permits her to go along with the third Respondent. 4. With these observations, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of. No costs.
