Judgment :- 1. The prayer in this writ petition is seeking for a direction, directing to revise the pension, gratuity and commutation on pension by granting notional promotion to the petitioner in the post of Senior Superintendent with effect from 01.06.1992 and further for a direction to the respondent to pay the petitioner all the arrears of salary and all other benefits. 2. It appears from the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition that the petitioner had already made several representations seeking for such relief from the respondent commencing from the year 2002. The last of such representation sent by the petitioner was on 21.12.2009 followed by a remainder, dated 04.02.2010. 3. According to the petitioner, the said representations sent by the petitioner were not considered so far. On the other hand, it is stated that the Public Information Officer of the respondent University through his letter, dated 01.03.2010 informed the petitioner that syndicate resolution to fix the year 2000 to extend the benefit of elevation as Sr. Superintendent for those, who retired as 'Superintendent' Accordingly, the staff, who retired as 'Superintendent', during the year from 2000 to 2005 after completion of 10 years of service are eligible for elevation as Sr. Superintendent. Even after such information was given by the said officer, it is stated by the petitioner that till this date, his representation was not considered so far. 4. As the only grievance of the petitioner is that he was not given gratuity and commutation by granting national promotion, it is for the respondent to consider such request and pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner. 5. Therefore, without going into the merits and claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.12.2009 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
