This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents 1 and 2, to produce the detenue, namely, Murugan @ Marudamalai Murugan, aged 32 years, from the illegal custody of the second respondent and to set him at liberty. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted, on instructions, that the detenue had been arrested and remanded to judicial custody, on 20.01.2013, in Cr.No.326 of 2012, under Section 379 IPC, on the file of the Thanjavur Taluk Police Station. In such circumstances, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
