JUDGMENT 1. The prayer in this writ petition is seeking for a Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to sponsor the petitioner's name in the seniority list to the first respondent for the post of T.G.T. (Mathematics) or Graduate Assistant (Mathemetics) as the Statistics degree is equallent to the Mathematics degree as per the communication of the first respondent immediately based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2010. 2. The third respondent filed a counter affidavit and submitted that the petitioner's name was omitted, to be included in the panel even though as per the then existing Rule B.Sc., (Statistics) is equallent to B.Sc., (Mathematics). However, the said omission was rectified by the third respondent and the name of the petitioner was forwarded by the third respondent to the second respondent through his proceedings dated 24.02.2011 and consequently, the second respondent had also sponsored the name of the petitioner to first respondent through letter dated 18.07.2011 for the post of Graduate Assistant (Maths) under Backward Class (other) Non Priority General Turn. 3. The said averments made by the third respondent in the counter affidavit filed is recorded and considering the said submission and in view of the fact that the petitioner's name had already been sponsored by the second respondent to the first respondent subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, the prayer in this writ petition has become infructuous and accordingly, the same is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
