NAVIN SINHA, VIKASH JAIN

body2013
ORDER On the previous occasion, considering the allegations and counter allegations by the parties, during open proceedings we had requested Shri Ravindra Priyadarshi, Advocate, to visit the place for assisting us if the water pump was operational and water was flowing through the pipe lines. Shri Priyadarshi informed us that water pump was found operational and water was flowing through the pipes. The petitioner no.1 did not have a water connection in his house, but water was available near the temple premises. Of the approximately 200 people who had assembled some did complain lack of water supply, others did not give any specific answer to his questions as they have no regular water connection. Once water pump has been installed and made operational and water supply commenced, we are satisfied that this public interest litigation has served its purpose. 2. If an individual is aggrieved despite having a legal water connection by non-supply of water, he may bring it to the attention of the Executive Officer, Water Supply Section, Patna Municipal Corporation, in writing. We expect the Executive Officer to consider the same in accordance with law. 3. In so far as persons with no proper water connection are concerned, Mr. Singh, for the Corporation fairly submits that if they apply in accordance with law the Corporation will consider their applications according to standard terms and procedures. 4. We appreciate the assistance rendered to us by Shri Ravindra Priyadarshi, Advocate. 5. The Public Interest Litigation stands disposed.
