JUDGMENT : Parties through their counsel. In this writ petition, the petitioners inter-alia seek a direction to respondents No.1 to 5 to provide them protection of their life and property of the petitioners. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the marriage between the petitioner No.1 and 2 was solemnized on 2.4.2014 on their own volition and the petitioners have attained the age of majority. It is further submitted that the petitioners have threat of their life from respondents No.6 to 9 and therefore, they be provided with adequate Police protection. It is also submitted that the petitioners be granted the liberty to submit a representation before the Superintendent of Police, Jabalpur, and the writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the Superintendent of Police to take suitable action on the said representation. 3. On the other hand, learned Panel Lawyer for the respondents submits that in case such a representation is submitted, the same shall be dealt within accordance with law. 4. In view of aforesaid submission and in view of law laid down by the Supreme Court in the case of Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. and another, (2006) 5 SCC 475 , the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioners submit a representation before the Superintendent of Police, Jabalpur, namely respondent No.4, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today, the Superintendent of Police, Jabalpur, shall consider and decide the said representation, expeditiously, keeping in view of the law laid down in the case of Lata Singh, (supra). It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. C.C. as per rules.
