Judgment Suresh Kait, J. 1. Resultantly, the total compensation is assessed at Rs.87,00,000/-. 2. Accordingly, Rs.48,25,000/- is enhanced (Rs.87,00,000 - Rs.38,75,000). 3. The enhanced compensation shall carry interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of filing of the claim petition till its realization. 4. The respondent / Insurance Company is directed to deposit the enhanced compensation amount with the Registrar General of this Court within a period of six weeks from today, failing which, appellant / claimant shall be entitled for penal interest @ 12% per annum on account of delayed payment. 5. On deposit, the Registrar General is directed to release the amount in favour of the appellant / claimant in terms of the impugned award dated 03.04.2010 passed by the learned Tribunal on taking necessary steps by them. 6. In view of the above, the appeal is allowed.
