JUDGMENT Mr. Inderjit Singh, J.:- Prayer in the present application is for interim suspension of sentence of applicant-appellant Rupinder Singh during the pendency of appeal on account of the marriage of his son. 2. The applicant-appellant has already filed the application for suspension of sentence and notice of motion in that application has already been issued for 03.03.2014. 3. The applicant-appellant in this petition seeks interim suspension of sentence during the pendency of appeal on the ground that marriage of his son is fixed for 08.02.2014. 4. On the other hand, learned State counsel after verifying the facts from ASI Rattan Singh, has stated that the marriage of the son of applicant-appellant has already been fixed and he has filed the report in the Court. 5. The applicant has already undergone about two years and one month of sentence and the actual sentence awarded to him is five years. 6. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances, the present application is allowed. The applicant-appellant is ordered to be released on interim bail from 07.02.2014 till 09.02.2014, subject to his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Amritsar. 7. The applicant-appellant is directed to surrender himself before the concerned Jail Authorities on 10.02.2014 at 10:00 a.m. otherwise action will be taken against him as per law.
