JUDGMENT Mansoor Ahmad Mir, A.C.J. (Oral) The appellant has questioned the award dated 10th January, 2005, made by the Commissioner, under the Workmen’s Compensation (Sub Divisional Magistrate) Ghumarwin, District Bilaspur in case No. 4/2003, titled as “Smt. Nain Devi & others vs. Sh. Kishori Lal Sharma & another”, on the ground that the interest has wrongly been awarded. 2.The appeal is misconceived and no substantial question of law is involved. It is settled law that interest is payable after the expiry of 30 days from the date of accident. Accordingly, the appellant is directed to satisfy the impugned award along with interest, as awarded, after the expiry of 30 days from the date of accident. 3.In this case the accident had occurred on 03.02.2003 and thus the interest is payable from 03.03.2003. The appeal is disposed of accordingly, so also the pending application(s), if any.
