Judgment 1. On 19.06.2014, the second respondent – Labour Officer (Social Security Scheme), who passed the impugned order, was present before this Court and stated before this Court, while ably assisting this Court in the disposal of other two cases, which were posted along this case, that she is willing to grant pension to the petitioner on submission of age certificate issued by the competent Civil Surgeon, instead of Assistant Surgeon, by the petitioner. It was stated by the Officer that the claim of the petitioner was not rejected, but only his application was returned. 2. In those circumstances, the matter was adjourned for production of the relevant certificate by the petitioner. Accordingly, the certificate is produced before this Court today. 3. The petitioner is directed to resubmit the application along with the original certificate before the second respondent. The second respondent, on resubmission of the application along with the age certificate issued by the competent Civil Surgeon, is directed to pass appropriate orders granting pension to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of resubmission of the application. 4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
