Judgment : 1. This petition has been filed, to direct the first respondent to direct the third respondent to provide adequate police protection for the Panchayat council meeting scheduled on 30.06.2014 to the petitioner and other Council members of the Thalampadi village panchayat, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2014. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents. 3. On notice, the third respondent appeared and assured that whenever the meeting is to be conducted, on representation from the petitioner, they are ready to provide adequate police protection to him. 4. Recording the above submissions, this criminal original petition is closed.
