Judgment 1. The petitioner seeks for a direction to grant permission and protection for "Adal Padal Programme" scheduled to be held on 21.08.2013 at Arulmigu Pathrakaliamman Kovil, Sivagnanapuram at Tuticorin District. 2. The prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. It is needless to state, it is open to the petitioner to approach the respondents if the programme has been postponed and if such request is made, the respondents police shall consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. 3. With the above observations, the writ petition is dismissed as infructous. No costs.
