Judgment 1. The petitioner seeks for a direction on the respondent to consider his representation dated 31.05.2014. 2. The petitioner was granted a licence in respect of the collection of toll gate of "Devipattinam Nava Pasana Punniya Sthalam". The period of licence expired on 31.03.2014. Thereafter, because of the general election, there was a Code of Conduct imposed and no fresh tender was called for. Further, the petitioner was directed to remit a sum of Rs.54,100/- for the period up to 01.07.2014. The petitioner has made a representation to the respondents requesting the licence for collection of toll for one year. Simultaneously, the petitioner is ready and willing to participate in a tender called for. But the respondents did not consider the same and hence the petitioner is before this Court. 3. In the light of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.05.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to enclose a copy of the representation along with a copy of this order. 4. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
