Judgment : 1. The petitioner seeks for a issuance of Writ of Mandamus to give police protection to the petitioner's life and limb by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2014. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 3. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 4. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as Sub-Inspector in Excise Department, Madurai. The petitioner married one A.Poongodi, D/o. Alagiri, Thatchanallur, Tirunelveli District, on 12.09.1980, in the presence of elders. He further submits that the married life lasted only one month and thereafter the wife returned to her parents house. He further alleges that his wife is threatening to kill the petitioner and threatening him continuously and also trespassing into the petitioner's property. 5. Though the petitioner made several allegations against his wife, she has not been impleaded as a respondent in this writ petition. Hence, a positive direction as sought for cannot be granted. However, the petitioner being in a uniformed service, is granted liberty to approach the All Women Police Station, Madurai, so that the petitioner's wife can be called for enquiry and thereafter both parties can endeavor to work out an come to the conclusion for amicable settlement. 6. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
