Judgment : 1. In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner based on his application in File No.MD 2077175809913. 2. After hearing the learned Counsel appearing for both sides and pursuant to the materials placed on records, it is to be stated that the writ petition can be disposed of based on the submissions made by the first respondent in their counter affidavit more particularly in paragraph 15' reads as follows: "15. It is submitted that the petitioner was advised to submit court order for the criminal case No.334 of 2004 which was pending for trial before the Hon'ble Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tuticorin and submits judgment copy along with original passport No.E2922646 dated 23.04.2004 issued by Embassy of India, Manila and document of correct place of birth from RAJAPALAYAM to DANAPUR, PATNA, BIHAR, his application will be processed as per passport rules." 3. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will comply with the directions issued by the first respondent and also produce necessary copies of all the requisite documents so that his passport application can be processed as per rules. 4. In the light of the stand taken in the counter affidavit as referred supra, there will be a direction to the petitioner to appear before the authority and produce all the documents so as to enable the first respondent to process his application as per rules. The first respondent shall complete the exercise as expeditiously as possible. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
