Judgment 1. The petitioner is one Kannan who has appeared before this Court and seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondent to grant permission and necessary police protection to Kodai Vizha from 28.07.2014 to 30.07.2014 in the eve of Arulmighu Sri Muppidathiamman Kovil at Koonthankulam Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District. 2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instruction from the Tahsildar, Nangunery submitted that a Peace Committee Meeting was convened and in which one group of persons were objecting to conduct the festival by the petitioner's group. 3. The petitioner who appeared before this Court submitted that they have not signed the Peace Committee Meeting but they requested that they may be given a separate permission to conduct the festival in a peaceful manner. He further submitted that other community people have all along been conducting festival in their individual capacity. 4. In the light of the above, the Tahsidar, Nanguneri, is directed to convene one more Peace Committee Meeting in this regard to be held on 21.07.2014 at 10.30 a.m. The Tahsildar, Nanguneri, shall issue notice to all the persons who will be interested in participating in the Meeting and ascertain their views. Such notice will be sent to the persons concerned on or before 19.07.2014. 5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Since the Tahsildar, Nanguneri, is not a party respondent in this writ petition, Registry is directed to mark a copy of the order to the Tahsildar, Nanguneri, immediately. No costs.
