Judgment : S. Rajeswaran, J. 1. This petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is the father of the detenue to produce his daughter by name Ms.Mithra Priyadarsini, aged about 21 years, who is in illegal custody of the third respondent. 2. Today, the detenue has been produced by the second respondent-Police. The detenue, on enquiry, has stated clearly that she is now studying B.E., in Computer Science Engineering at Sams Engineering College, Periapalayam. She further stated that she came out of her home and got married to the third respondent on her own and she is now staying with the third respondent at Vedambudur, Thenkasi. 3. According to the detenue, her marriage with the third respondent is accepted by the third respondent's parents also. Even in the presence of the petitioner and his wife, who are the parents of the detenue, the detenue has categorically stated that she would not go with her parents and she is interested in continuing her life only with the third respondent. Therefore, she has clearly indicated before this Court that she will not go with her parents. In view of the above, the detenue, being a marjor, we allow her to continue her life of her own. The detenue's parents and the third respondent's parents are present before this Court and the Investigation Officer is also present before this Court and his presence is recorded. 4. Therefore, in view of the categorical statement made by the detenue, a major, no further order is necessary in this habeas corpus petition and the same is closed. No costs.
