Judgment 1. The writ petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 25.03.2014, seeking to allot free house site patta in Nilayoor I Bit Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District or any other nearby places, within a time frame. 2. By consent of both parties, the main writ petitions are itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondent. 4. In the affidavit, it has been stated that the petitioners belongs to linguistic minority Hindu Sourashtra Community. The petitioners are the Handloom Collie workers. They are residing in a rented house and living in poverty. Hence, they had sent a representation dated 25.03.2014 to the first respondent, requesting him to allot free house site patta in Nilayoor I Bit Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District. Though the first respondent had received the petitioners representation dated 25.03.2014, till date the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present Writ Petition. 5. In view of the submissions made by the learned Counsel appearing on either side and in view of the averments made in the affidavit, this Court without going into merits of the claim made by the petitioners, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 25.03.2014, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The Writ Petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
