Judgment : 1. The petitioner seeks direction to the third respondent to conduct an enquiry and redraw electoral list for the Valinokkam Muslim Jamath Election. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. According to the petitioner, there were several dead persons who were included in the electoral list and therefore, this would vitiate the entire election process. Hence, he made a representation and prayed for redrawal of the electoral list. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the request made by the petitioner was considered, enquiry was conducted and the electoral list was redrawn. Therefore, the prayer in the Writ Petition has become infructuous. 5. In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
