Judgment M. Jaichandren, J. 1. Heard Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent. 2. There is no representation for the petitioner. However, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondent, to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.05.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period. 3. Accordingly, in view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, the respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.05.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 20.05.2014, to the respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear, that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. 4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
