Judgment 1. Based on the complaint of the second respondent, the case has been registered against the petitioner in Cr.No.32 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) I.PC. The said F.I.R is being challenged before this Court. 2. The second respondent entered into an agreement with the petitioner to purchase a property belonging to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.10 lakhs. However, sale deed was not executed, leading to giving a complaint by the second respondent against the petitioner, which culminated in the impugned F.I.R. Thereafter, the second respondent also filed O.S.No.16/2014 before the Civil Court. The second respondent also filed Crl.O.P.No.7203/2014, which is also pending before this Court. 3. When things stand so, the matter is listed before this Court. 4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, both the parties appeared before this Court and categorically stated that the issue between them has been sorted out. The second respondent expressed his intention to withdraw the criminal complaint. Indicating the details of the compromise reached between the parties, a memo of compromise duly signed by both the parties, dated 12.06.2014 has been filed before this Court. 5. In view of the settlement of the issue, which is evident from the settlement made by both the parties, who appeared before this Court and also of the compromise memo, no useful purpose will be achieved in further proceeding the above matter. 6. Therefore, the proceedings in Cr.No.32 of 2014 on the file of the Ponnamaravathy Police Station, Pudukkottai District are quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected M.P.(md).No.1 of 2014 is closed.
