Judgment : 1. At the instance of the second respondent, a case has been registered in Crime No.30 of 2014 under Sections 498(A), 499 and 500 IPC, on the allegation that the petitioners demanded dowry after betrothal of the second respondent with the first petitioner herein. The said F.I.R is challenged before this Court. 2. When the matter is called today, all the parties are present before this Court. The second respondent/de-facto complainant would categorically state that the matter is settled and she is not interested to marry the third respondent namely, the third petitioner herein and therefore, she does not want to proceed in the above matter. A Memo of Compromise duly signed by both the parties and countersigned by the respective Counsels, dated 31-07.2014, is also filed. 3. In view of the above development, no further proceeding is unnecessary and therefore it is liable to be quashed. 4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the F.I.R is quashed.
