Judgment 1. The petitioner seeks for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the fifth respondent to reconnect the electricity service connection bearing No.173 - 004- 601. 2. Earlier, the petitioner came before this Court by filing W.P.(MD)No.11847 of 2014, challenging the demand dated 10.7.2014 demanding a sum of Rs.11,57,039/- alleging the same to be short levied in respect of the service connection enjoyed by the petitioner. 3. This Court by an order dated 22.07.2014 set aside the demand dated 10.07.2014 and remitted the matter to the fifth respondent for fresh consideration. This order came to be passed on 22.07.2014 and the copy of the order was received by the petitioner as well as the respondent board subsequently thereafter. 4. In the interregnum, by the proceedings dated 23.07.2014, the electricity service connection of the petitioner disconnected on the ground that the current consumption arrears to the tune of Rs.29,708/- as well as the amount of Rs.11,57,039/-have not been remitted. So far as the demand of Rs.11,57,039/- is concerned which has been set aside and the matter has been remitted for fresh consideration. Therefore, the same cannot be a reason for disconnection of the supply. However, the petitioner has to pay the current consumption arrears of Rs.29,708/-. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed subject to the condition that the petitioner shall remit a sum of Rs.29,708/- immediately, and on remitting the said amount, the electricity supply shall be reconnected. So far as the demand of Rs.11,57,039/-is concerned, the fifth respondent shall comply with the direction of this Court in its order dated 22.07.2014 made in W.P(MD) No.11847 of 2014. No costs.
