Judgment : 1. At the instance of the second respondent, the F.I.R. in Crime No.412 of 2012 has been registered against the petitioner under Section 366 A of I.P.C. on 27.11.2012. The said F.I.R. has been challenged before this Court. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent. 3. When the matter is called today, both the petitioner as well as the second respondent are present and they have categorically submitted that the matter has been settled amicably. They have also filed a joint compromise memo, dated 13.08.2014, duly signed by both the parties and countersigned by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the father of the victim. 4. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the further proceedings will be futile. Therefore, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The F.I.R. in Crime No.412 of 2012 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Somarasampettai Police Station, Trichy District, is quashed.
