Judgment 1. Heard both sides. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2. The petitioner was appointed as a Technician in the respondent Transport Corporation on 02.01.1997. By an order dated 26.11.2011, he was transferred from Dharmapuri to Uthangarai Branch. Later, he was given transfer to Dharmapuri on his request by an order dated 17.05.2012. In the said order, it was stated that he was not entitled for travelling allowance and joining time, since the same is made on his request. However, within a period of three months, he was again issued a transfer order transferring him from Dharmapuri to Denkanikottai, by the impugned order dated 07.08.2012. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3. This Court, in the said circumstances, gave interim order on 14.09.2012 in his favour, since he was transferred within a period of three months, that is, when his request to retain him at Dharmapuri was conceded in May 2012, it is not known as to why he was transferred within a period of three months. 4. It is now stated by the learned counsel on either side that pursuant to the interim order granted by this Court, the petitioner was retained at Dharmapuri. In the circumstances of the case, the impugned order is quashed and the writ petition is allowed. However, this will not preclude the respondent Transport Corporation to issue fresh transfer order according to their policies. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
