Judgment 1. The first respondent initiated disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner. It is the grievance of the petitioner that notwithstanding submission of his explanation, action was not taken by the first respondent to conclude the proceedings. The petitioner is therefore before this Court. 2. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the first respondent requires six months time to conclude the proceedings. 3. There are two proceedings now pending against the petitioner. The first proceedings commenced in the year 2006. The second proceedings commenced only in the year 2010. The respondents have already completed the proceedings initiated in the year 2006. However, they are yet to commence the active proceedings in the enquiry initiated during the year 2010. 4. The first respondent is directed to conclude the proceedings initiated against the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
