Judgment : 1. This writ petition is filed with the following prayer :- "to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner for appointment in any suitable vacancy in any department in Nagapattinam District within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court". 2. Though the prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a larger relief, this Court is of the opinion that it would be suffice if a direction is given to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2010 within a time frame. 3. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2010 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner in person. It is made clear that it is open to the petitioner to produce necessary records or statements if required by the 2nd respondent at the time affording personal hearing or before passing orders by the 2nd respondent on his representation. No costs.
