Judgment 1. The petitioner met with an accident on 07.09.2003. He was on medical leave from 07.09.2003 to 19.10.2004. The petitioner joined duty on 19.10.2004 and thereafter, he took leave from 10.05.2005 to 22.09.2005. 2. The petitioner submitted a representation to the third respondent requesting to regularize the leave period by treating it as “Special Disability Leave” under Fundamental Rule 83 and to grant consequential monetary benefits with interest. The representation was not taken up for consideration by the third respondent, resulting in filing this writ petition. 3. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation, dated 20.10.2004, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation along with a copy of this order so as to enable the third respondent to dispose of the matter early. 4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
