Order 1. Challenge in these writ petitions is to the order dated 28.02.2014 on the file of the second respondent insofar as it directs that the petitioners are permitted to retire from service, without prejudice to the pending disciplinary proceeding. 2. The Learned Standing counsel for the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation submitted that the respondents have already finalized the disciplinary proceedings by imposing a fine of Rs.100/- and as such, there is no question of challenging the impugned condition. 3. In view of the subsequent events, the only question to be decided is payment of retirement benefits. 4. The respondents are directed to pay the retirement benefits to the petitioners, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the amount would carry interest at 12%. 5. The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
