Order 1. The petitioner in both the petitions initiated the proceedings against the respective respondents in the above cases under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. 2. Though the matter was initiated as early as in the year 2009 and the trial is almost over, so far the cases have not been disposed of. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. No notice is necessary to the respondent and this Court intends to direct the trial Court to dispose of the cases on merits and no prejudice would cause to the respondent. 4. Taking into consideration the fact that the proceedings have been initiated in the year 2009 and the matter is pending for defence evidence, it is appropriate to direct the trial Court to dispose of the proceedings on or before 31.12.2014. 5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
