Judgment : 1. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to the second respondent to call her for counseling for the non-interview posts in TNPSC Group II CSSE-I and to appoint her in the appropriate post as per the ranking list. 2. When the matter was called on 01.09.2014, it was represented that one Mr.Punithavanan, learned counsel has filed change of vakalat. Accordingly, the matter was directed to be listed today. Today, the Registry made an endorsement that no change of vakalat is filed. 3. In these circumstances, I am disposing this matter based on the materials available on record. 4. The respondent Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has filed counter affidavit stating that the petitioner belongs to Backward Community (OBCM) (Women) category. She has secured 229.50 marks in the written examination and 24 marks in the Oral Test. In total, she secured 253.50. Further, in para 10 of the counter affidavit, it is stated that she did not reach the zone of consideration either for the OT posts or non-OT posts. Para 10 of the counter affidavit is extracted hereunder: “10. In this connection, it is submitted that the marks secured by the last candidate selected in the Backward Class (OBCM) (Woman) category, to which the petitioner belongs to, are as below: O.T. Posts - 261.00 Non-O.T. Posts - 231.00 (Written Exmn. marks only) However, the petitioner has secured only a total of 253.50 (229.50 marks in the written examination and 24.00 marks in the Oral Test). Hence, she was not summoned for counseling for the oral test posts and she has secured only 229.50 marks in the written examination, she was not summoned for non-oral test posts also.” 5. In the light of the above, I am not inclined to issue direction as sought for by the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
