Judgment : M. Jaichandren, J. 1. Heard Mr.N.Thiyagarajan, the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. T. Sakthikumaran, the learned counsel for the petitioners, as well as Mr. AK. Baskarapandiyan, the learned Special Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petitions, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners had submitted that it would suffice, if the representations of the petitioners, dated 21.02.2011, 01.04.2013 and 05.02.2014, are directed to be disposed of, by the second respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period. 3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 4. In view of the averments made in the affidavits filed in support of the Writ Petitions and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representations of the petitioners, dated 21.02.2011, 01.04.2013 and 05.02.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing, to the petitioners. The petitioners are directed to furnish a copy of their representation, dated 21.02.2011, 01.04.2013 and 05.02.2014, along with a copy of this order, to the second respondent. However, it is made clear, that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. 5. The Writ Petitions stand disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
