HIMA KOHLI

body2014
JUDGMENT : Hima Kohli, J. (Oral):-- 1. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner praying inter alia for modifying the results of the written test for filling up the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Training and Placement of the respondent/University to the extent that the over aged candidates should be barred from participating further in the selection process. 2. On a query posed to the counsel for the petitioner as to whether the selection process has been concluded, he submits that the written test of the candidates has taken place but the interview process has yet to commence. 3. This Court is of the opinion that the present petition is premature and the petitioner ought to have awaited finalization of the selection process before approaching the Court with his grievance. 4. Counsel for the petitioner states that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition while reserving the right of the petitioner to approach the Court in the event his grievance survives upon conclusion of the selection process and at that stage, take all the pleas that may be available to him. 5. Leave, as prayed for, is granted. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn alongwith the pending applications.
