Judgment : 1. The petitioner, who is stated to be the Panchayat Secretary was transferred from Arulputhur Village Panchayat to South Venganallur Village Panchayat and he joined there on 10.01.2012. The petitioner was paid salary from 10.01.2012 to 31.03.2012. However, he was not paid salary from 01.04.2012 to 28.02.2014. 2. The petitioner submitted a representation to the Block Development Officer to pay him salary for the period in question. The information obtained by the petitioner by invoking the provisions of Right to Information Act indicated that the Block Development Officer has already directed the Panchayat to pay him salary along with other benefits. 3. The Block Development Officer, Rajapalayam Panchayat Union, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.05.2014, in the light of his order dated 10.10.2013 and subsequent communication dated 07.05.2014. The second respondent should take earnest efforts to determine the salary for the period in question and after such determination, he should direct the third respondent to pay salary to the petitioner. In case, any such direction is given, the same shall be scrupulously followed by the third respondent and salary should be paid to the petitioner. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
