Judgment 1. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conduct a peace committee meeting as early as possible in order to enable the petitioner's village to celebrate "Sri Navaneetha Krishnan Koil Puratasi Second Saturday Festival" on 26/27.09.2014 on the basis of the representations dated 15.09.2014 and thereby ensure the right to worship of the petitioner's village. 2. Mr. S. Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. On instructions from the respondents, he submitted that a Peace Committee Meeting was convened on 17.09.2014 at 4.30 p.m. and no consensus were arrived at and the same has been recorded by the second respondent on the same day and it has been signed by the petitioner Mr. M. Kumar also. 3. In the light of the above, the direction sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, cannot be granted at this stage. However, if the petitioner is able to work out a better solution to the matter, he can approach the second respondent with a request for convening a fresh Peace Committee Meeting. If such representation is made, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. 4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
