Judgment 1. This petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction educational loan of Rs.1,15,000/- per year from 2012-2013 to 2017-2018 to the petitioner's son namely K.Dinesh. 2. Heard the leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. It is seen from the docket orders issued, the writ petition has been pending since July, 2013, and it has been adjourned from time to time. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for grant of educational loan for his son who was admitted into Bachelor of Architecture course during the academic year 2012-2013 under management quota. At the relevant point of time, there was a prohibition for considering the applications for educational loan where the candidate obtained admission under management quota. The Indian Bankers Association has revised the guidelines and the respondent bank also considered applications for grant of educational loan in respect of the candidates who have been admitted under management quota. Hence, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's application for educational loan in the light of the amended guidelines as issued by the Indian Bankers Association and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
