Judgment 1. The petitioners seek for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to forbear the respondents No.3 to 5 from using the Marriage Halls for the purpose of unauthorized sale of goods and for any other purposes other than the one permitted by license. 2. The petitioner is the Paramakudi Chamber of Commerce, represented by its Vice President. They approached this Court to forbear the respondents No.3 to 5 from using the Marriage Halls for the purpose other than the one permitted by license by traders of various parts of the Country. Further, according to the petitioner such marriage halls have been used for the purposes other than they have been authorized and doing trade without registering with the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, Central Sales Tax Act, Shops and Establishments Act and Employees Provident Fund Act and the traders are doing business on regular basis within the jurisdiction of the second respondent. In spite of several representations made to the respondents 1 and 2, they were not considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court with this Writ Petition. 3. It is pointed out by the learned Government Advocate that the representation given by the President of the Paramakudi Silk Traders Association dated 16.09.2014 was taken into consideration and notice has been issued to the owners of the Marriage Halls and they have been directed to Show Cause as to why their license should not be cancelled. 4. In the light of the stand taken by the second respondent, the second respondent is directed to proceed further pursuant to the Show Cause Notice and take action in accordance with law. 5. Since the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, this Court makes it clear that no observations are made as against the respondents 3 to 5 and it is open to the respondents 3 to 5 to submit their reply to the Show Cause Notice issued to them. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P.(MD) No.1 of 2014 is closed.
