Judgment : 1. There is no representation on the side of the petitioner. 2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 brings it to the notice of the Court that there are two groups in Pannikundu Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District and there are cases in Crime No.40 of 2003 under Sections 147, 148, 324, 427 and 160 I.P.C. r/w. 3(1)(x) of Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Crime No.41 of 2003 under Sections 147, 148, 341, 324, 506(ii) and 160 I.P.C. and Crime No.46 of 2003 under Section 107 Cr.P.C. and that order refusing to grant permission and protection for the Adal Padal Program to be performed by Madurai Kishkintha Dance Group in “Thiruvizha” scheduled to be held on 08.10.2014 at Arulmigu Sri Manthaiamman Ayyanar Thirukovil at Pannikundu, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, was communicated to the petitioner. 3. In view of the fact that the respondent police has refused permission for the conduct of the programme to be held on 08.10.2014 at the aforesaid temple, this Court is not inclined to allow the present writ of mandamus seeking permission and protection of this Court for the conduct of the said Aadal Padal Programme in the temple in question. Resultantly, the writ petition fails. 4. In the result, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
