Judgment 1. Mr. V. Subbiah, Learned Special Government Pleader Takes Notice For The Respondents. 2. By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking a writ of mandamus, forbearing the respondents, more particularly the 2nd respondent from conducting counselling and transfer to be held on 12.10.2014 in respect of Village Administrative Officers in Tiruppur Division without following the G.O.Ms.No.515 Revenue (Employment-7(1)) Department dated 25.08.2008. 4. The only submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the counselling is proposed to be conducted and transfers are likely to be effected without following the procedures as contemplated in G.O.Ms.No.515 Revenue (Employment-7(1)) Department dated 25.08.2008. 5. Admittedly, the 2nd respondent is the competent authority to conduct counselling and effect transfers. Therefore, this Court cannot pass orders, directing the said authority to act in a particular manner. 6. At this juncture, learned Special Government Pleader has submitted that the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.515 Revenue (Employment-7(1)) Department dated 25.08.2008 would be followed by the 2nd respondent, while taking appropriate action. 7. In view of the stand taken by the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
