Judgment 1. According to the petitioner, he is a senior citizen and he is 86 years old and further that on 14.01.2010, the third respondent/Tahsildar, Karur Taluk, Karur District, granted Legal heirship Certificate to him in Mu.No.00386/2010 (A2) dated 14.01.2010. Also that on 25.04.2013, he submitted his representation before the third respondent/Tahsildhar, Karur and requested him to provide five copies of said Legal heirship Certificate. However, the third respondent informed him that he was not in a position to trace out the concerned file. Again, on 26.08.2013, he made a representation before the first respondent/District Collector, Karur District and the Revenue Divisional Officer, Karur (second respondent) and requested them to issue necessary directions to the third respondent/Tahsildar, Karur to provide him that five copies of Legal heirship Certificate. On 06.09.2013, the first respondent directed the third respondent/Tahsildar, Karur to take necessary action on the basis of his representation through letter No.O.M.H.3/15372/2013 dated 06.09.2013. Also the second respondent directed the third respondent to search for petitioner's file to supply the Legal heirship Certificate in question through his Circular No.Na.Ka.A1/3480/2013, dated 20.09.2013. In spite of the same, the petitioner is not in a position to obtain five copies of Legal heirship Certificate from the third respondent/Tahsildar, Karur. 2. In view of the fact that the petitioner has filed the instant writ of Mandamus seeking for passing of an order by this Court in directing the third respondent/Tahsildar Karur to provide him five copies of Legal heirship Certificate in Ni.Mu.No.00386/2010 (A2) dated 14.01.2010, on the basis of the letter issued by the first respondent dated 06.09.2013 and further on the basis of the Circular issued by the second respondent dated 20.09.2013 within the time to be determined by this Court, this Court taking into account the plight of the petitioner and also by adopting a sympathetic, humanitarian attitude, directs the third respondent/Tahsildar, Karur to take effective and efficacious steps in tracing out the file in Ni.Mu.No.00386/2010 (A2), dated 14.01.2010 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and to supply five copies of Legal heirship Certificate to the petitioner. 3. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
