body2014
JUDGMENT M. VENUGOPAL, J. 1. Heard the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Learned Government Advocate for the Respondents 1 to 4. 2. To avoid an avoidable delay, notice to the Respondents 5 and 6 is dispensed with. 3. According to the Petitioner, he has made a representation to the First Respondent/ District Collector, Ramanathapuram District, Ramanathapuram on 16/6/2014, seeking cancellation of patta granted in favour of the Fifth and Sixth Respondents and the same has not met with a positive response till date. As such, he was perforced to project another representation dated 10/10/2014 addressed to the Respondents 1 to 4 in regard to the cancellation of patta granted in favour of the Respondents 5 and 6 and till date, he had not heard anything from the side of the Respondents 1 to 4 in the subject matter in issue. 4. In view of the fact that the Petitioner in his representation dated 10/10/2014 has sought for cancellation of patta granted in favour of the Respondents 5 and 6, this Court in the interest of Equity, Justice and Fair Play, directs the Third Respondent to look into the representations of the Petitioner dated 16/6/2014 and 10/10/2014 respectively in a fair and objective manner and to dispose of the same on merits (of course, after providing due opportunities to the concerned parties by adhering to the principles of natural Justice) within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 5. Before parting with the case, this Court makes it very clear that since the Court has disposed of the Writ Petition at the admission stage itself and also that the relief sought for by the Petitioner is only against the Third Respondent to look into his representations dated 16/6/2014 and 10/10/2014 respectively, this Court has not made any observations against the Respondents 5 and 6 in the subject matter in issue. 6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
