JUDGMENT Mr. Inderjit Singh, J.:- This petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.25 dated 05.02.2012 under Section 307 IPC and under Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Dakha, District Ludhiana. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner was on regular bail and on 04.10.2013, he could not appear before the trial Court. Though, an application for exemption from personal appearance was moved but the same was dismissed. 3. Learned State counsel contested the bail application. 4. I have gone through the record and have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel. 5. From the record, I find that earlier the petitioner was on regular bail. He absented from the proceedings of the Court on 04.10.2013. In compliance of the order dated 21.12.2013, the petitioner appeared before the trial Court and has been released on interim bail. The petitioner is only to face the trial. The trial of the case will take long time. No useful purpose will be served by sending the petitioner to custody. 6. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, I find merit in this petition and the same is allowed. The order dated 21.12.2013 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute. ---------0.B.S.0------------
